Karina Eleni 

Hi!

I’m Karina, (Ka-rolled R-eena) a New York City based actor, singer, songwriter & dancer. I am currently an Artist in Residence at The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. I’m also a student at NYU, taking my talents to the next level and earning my performing arts degree. I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California with a sprinkle of the Midwest, due to my huge Greek family who live in Ohio. We are both a big family in numbers and a big family as far as height is concerned – with the average cousin being over 6 feet tall – I am the tiniest in the family at 5’2”. Which is probably the reason I started singing my heart out at the early age of three, a girl has to be heard! Once I realized the power of my voice, both in keeping my family in line and entertaining them, I couldn’t stop. By five years old, I started acting in children’s theatre groups, playing piano, singing, dancing and at twelve I officially started writing and recording my own music.

The pulse of New York City inspires me to constantly create and surrounding myself with amazingly talented people gives me the tools to collaborate and grow as an artist. For example, I not only enjoy acting in my friend’s films, I love to write original songs and score their films as well. When I’m not performing you can most likely find me whipping up a new recipe in the kitchen:)
